A long overdue (way too long!) post about whats been happening and what’s
coming up. I’ve mainly been working on commissioned paintings lately, and
also in various discussions about how I get my work out there. All my work
is now listed at Media City Furniture Hire( mediacityfurniturehire.com)
which has quickly resulted in two paintings being hired out for a couple of
photo shoots this week and next. I’ll update with photos once I have them.
The paintings are Metropolis, which I had to take off my living room wall
(I love it, and look at it daily!), and Grey Sky Trails 1 which is a much
smaller painting but it has lots going on.
I’m also now starting to gear up for my next exhibition (also long
overdue….I love the buzz of showing my work and the interest that it
generates). This will be at The Chester Arts Fair, Chester Race Course,
15-17 November…all are welcome and if you contact me in advance, I may
have some free entrance tickets to give away. I’d love to see lots of you
there. This is now an established and credible art fair, which started in
2012, and this year will have more than 120 artists showing their
creativity.
I’ve been working on some smaller paintings especially for Chester, so that
I can offer my work to those collectors who don’t have space for one (or
more!) of my larger paintings. These will be priced from £80, so I’m
hopefully making it much more affordable to have a bit of Alan Yaffe
Abstract Art on your walls!
If you search for Chester Arts Fair and look for the list of artists, I’m
up first with a photo of “Red With Colour #2” ……it’s nice to be at the
top of the register for a change!
I now hope to update my blog more often, so please keep an eye out, and
also let me have your feedback. Don’t forget that all of my work is
original, signed on one edge so that they can be hung any way up, and each
one comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity.
